Very expected game when 7th ranked Enea Zastal (6-5) lost to third ranked Stal (9-2) in Ostrow Wlkp. 72-88 on Friday. Stal looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Enea Zastal's players. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian guard Aigars Skele (193-1992) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. Latvian Ojars Silins (201-1993) accounted for 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Stal players scored in double figures. Serbian Dusan Kutlesic (200-1994) came up with 21 points and 6 rebounds and Montenegrin forward Alen Hadzibegovic (207-1999, agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Enea Zastal in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Stal. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Trefl. Loser Enea Zastal dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Legia. Stal will meet Sokol (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Enea Zastal will play against Spojnia (#8) in Stargard and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
