Very expected game when 9th ranked Alkar (3-8) lost to fourth ranked Cedevita Jr. (8-3) in Sinj 75-84 on Friday. Cedevita Jr. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Jakov Mustapic (192-1994, agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Renato Serdarusic (196-2001) accounted for 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Cedevita Jr. players scored in double figures. Bosnian center Imran Polutak (209-1996) came up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) and guard Ivan Svalina (198-1997) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Alkar in the defeat. Alkar's coach Luka Bujas let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cedevita Jr. have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 8-3 record, which they share with Sibenka. Alkar lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Bosco and Skrljevo. Cedevita Jr. will meet Sibenka (#5) in the next round. Alkar will play against Dinamo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
