Regular Season Round 15: Rouen - Pont-de-Cheruy 63-53

Rather expected game when 3rd placed SOPCC (10-5) was defeated on the road by first ranked SPO Rouen (13-2) 63-53 on Friday. SPO Rouen dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to SOPCC's 20. It was a great evening for Moroccan forward Karim Gourari (203-1989) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Moroccan power forward Mohamed Choua (202-1992) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. SPO Rouen's coach Sylvain Delorme used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was DR Congolese Yasmin Mambo (205-2002) with 10 points and forward Lucas Thevenard (202-1998) scored 4 points and 8 rebounds. SPO Rouen maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser SOPCC keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Caen and Chartres. SPO Rouen will meet at home Orchesien BC (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. SOPCC will play against STB Le Havre and hope to secure a win.
