Regular Season Round 9: Vichy Clermont - Orleans 100-94

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked JA Vichy (6-3) defeated at home 12th ranked Entente Orleans 45 (4-5) 100-94 on Friday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. JA Vichy made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Entente Orleans 45 turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) who led his team to a victory with 31 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Nigerien center Serge Mourtala (212-1998) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Jamaican-Canadian point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-1991, college: Calgary, agency: Slash Sports) answered with 15 points and 6 assists and Cameroonian center Junior MBida (206-1990) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Entente Orleans 45. Four JA Vichy and five Entente Orleans 45 players scored in double figures. JA Vichy moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Entente Orleans 45 at the other side keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. They share it with Evreux. JA Vichy is looking forward to face ALM Evreux (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Entente Orleans 45 will play against La Rochelle and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
