There was a minor upset when higher ranked Bembibre (4-7) was crushed at home by fifteenth ranked Cadi La Seu (4-7) 64-41 on Saturday. The former international guard Laura Pena (173-1998) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Laia Raventos (170-1997, college: Charlotte) chipped in 13 points during the contest. At the losing side Venezuelan point guard Roselis Silva (166-1991, college: Arkansas Tech) responded with 12 points and swingman Ainhoa Lacorzana (179-2000) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cadi La Seu moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with IDK Eustotren and Bembibre. Cadi La Seu will meet at home higher ranked Gran Canaria (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bembibre will play against Leganes (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
