Montenegrin power forward Milo Vukcevic (200-1996) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Guillermo Pereiro (191-1989) came up with 14 points and center Marcos Rozas (202-1983) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Betanzos in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Gijon. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 7 other teams. Betanzos at the other side keeps the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with 8 other teams.
