There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Oleggio (5-7) defeated at home higher ranked Valdinievole (6-6) 69-60 on Saturday. They outrebounded Valdinievole 43-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Tommaso Ingrosso (206-1992, college: W.Texas CC) who scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized Swiss Olivier Giacomelli (198-1995) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marco Arrigoni (198-1991, agency: SLN) who recorded 23 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Adrian Chiera (191-1994, agency: Interperformances) added 7 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oleggio have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Newly promoted Valdinievole dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with 8 other teams. Oleggio will meet Montecatiniterme (#13) on the road in the next round.
