Regular Season Round 11: Baerum Basket - Asker Aliens 100-68

Very predictable result in Bekkestua where sixth ranked Baerum Basket (8-7) outscored bottom-ranked Asker Aliens (0-13) 100-68 on Sunday. They outrebounded Asker Aliens 36-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. Baerum Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for the former international guard Stian Mjoes (183-1989) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. American forward Steffon Mitchell (203-1997, college: Boston Coll.) helped adding 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Four Baerum Basket players scored in double figures. American guard Joshua Hart (194-1990, college: Va Intermont) responded with 22 points and 4 assists and French guard Tom Dumont (201-2000, college: TMU) scored 18 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Baerum Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Froya Basket. Asker Aliens lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. Baerum Basket will meet higher ranked Tromso (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Asker Aliens will play against the league's leader Kongsberg (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.
