There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Senigallia (7-5) outscored on the road higher ranked Imola Virtus (7-5) 84-59 on Sunday. Senigallia forced 20 Imola Virtus turnovers. The best player for the winners was Matteo Santucci (194-1998) who scored 20 points. Simone Pozzetti (200-1990) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Riccardo Carta (203-2003) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Jacopo Aglio (197-1995) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Senigallia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 11 other teams including defeated Imola Virtus. Senigallia will meet at home league's leader Rieti Real in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Imola Virtus will play against Cesena and hope to secure a win.
