Regular Season Round 10: Costa Masnaga - Vicenza 67-63

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Vicenza (0-10) lost on the road to fourth ranked Costa Masnaga (7-3) 67-63 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Guard Vittoria Allievi (183-2003) notched 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and power forward Cristina Osazuwa (193-2005) supported her with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Costa Masnaga players scored in double figures. Even 9 points and 11 rebounds by swingman Giorgia Amatori (175-2003) did not help to save the game for Vicenza. Elena Sasso (181-2000) added 18 points for lost side. Vicenza's coach Marco Silvestrucci rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Costa Masnaga moved-up to third place, which they share with Battipaglia. Loser Vicenza still closes the standings with ten games lost. Costa Masnaga will meet Trieste (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vicenza will play against Udine (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
