Regular Season Round 11: Cimbis - CBSFDO 59-80

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Cimbis (0-8) was outplayed at home by third ranked CBSFDO (6-2) 80-59 on Sunday. CBSFDO looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Jose Ruiz (200-1997) who scored 26 points and 9 rebounds. Josu Remesal (-1995) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Carlos Goicoechea (-2003) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Miguel Cabeza (189-1998) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Four Cimbis players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CBSFDO moved-up to second place, which they share with El Pinar. Cimbis lost their eighth game in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost. They share the position with Gymnastica. CBSFDO will meet at home league's second-placed Huelva Com. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cimbis will play against the league's leader Huelva CD (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
