This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th ranked Ardoi (7-7) to third ranked Zamarat (11-3) 55-52 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The best player for the winners was American-Nigerian center Nneka Ezeigbo (188-1998, college: RMU) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Isabel Latorre (170-1996) chipped in 16 points. Senegalese forward Fatou Pouye (183, college: Duquesne) produced 19 points and 9 rebounds and Argentinian center Diana Cabrera (186-1993) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Zamarat moved-up to second place. Ardoi at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Zamarat are looking forward to face league's leader Ferrol at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ardoi will play against Alcobendas (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
