Regular Season Round 6: BLMA - Roche 83-47

Everything could happen in Montpellier at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked BLMA and 5th ranked Roche had identical 3-2 record. This time BLMA used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from La Roche 83-47 on Sunday night. BLMA dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Roche's 22. They outrebounded Roche 39-26 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. BLMA looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Roche's players. Belgian center Kyara Linskens (193-1996, agency: LBM Management) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Mamignan Toure (183-1994) chipped in 22 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Spanish point guard Ana Suarez (170-1987) with 11 points and 8 rebounds and German center Luisa Geiselsoeder (192-2000) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BLMA maintains fourth position with 4-2 record. Roche at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. BLMA will meet bottom-ranked Bretagne (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roche will play against Toulouse (#11) and hope to secure a win.
