Very predictable result when sixth ranked E.Netanya (7-4) won against on the road 12th ranked E.Shomron (3-8) 93-85 on Tuesday. They outrebounded E.Shomron 40-22 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Ben Saraf (195-2006) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 5 assists. American-Nigerian Al-Wajid Aminu (201-1998, college: UNF) accounted for 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. E.Netanya's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Amit Alon (180-2000) came up with 23 points and 5 assists and naturalized Polish center Ido Flaisher (208-1998, college: Hawaii) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for E.Shomron in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. E.Netanya moved-up to fifth place, which they share with I.Nahariya. E.Shomron lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. E.Netanya will meet at home higher ranked Maccabi Rishon (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. E.Shomron will play against I.Nahariya (#5) and hope to secure a win.
