Regular Season Round 10: Niksic - Herceg Novi 73-94

Very significant was Herceg Novi's (#3, 5-3) victory against one of their biggest challengers Niksic (2-5) 94-73. Herceg Novi dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Niksic's 48. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Serbian Milica Matic (180-2003) had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian center Adna Razic (192-2001) chipped in 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Herceg Novi's coach Milan Dabovic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Bosnian-Serbian center Andjela Lalovic (190-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds and international swingman Milena Jaksic (178-1998) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Herceg Novi maintains third position with 5-3 record having five points less than leader Buducnost. Niksic lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with five games lost. Herceg Novi are looking forward to face league's second-placed Podgorica at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Niksic will play against Decic and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
