Regular Season Round 11: Liepaja/LSSS - RSU 63-78

The most interesting game of round 11 was a derby match between two teams from Latvia. Third ranked RSU won against host Liepaja/LSSS (6-4) 78-63. RSU forced 20 Liepaja/LSSS turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Mara Mote (178-2000, college: Arizona) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 5 assists. Forward Luize Septe (180-1999, college: S.Florida) helped adding 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four RSU players scored in double figures. Latvian forward Paula Klescova (176-2001) responded with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Latvian guard Raivita Korenika (181-2001) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Liepaja/LSSS's coach rotated twelve players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. RSU have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Neptunas. Liepaja/LSSS at the other side keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with LCC Tarp. and TalTech. RSU is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Audentes (#12) in Tallinn in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Liepaja/LSSS will play at home against Audentes (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
