Regular Season Round 15: Resovia - AGH 2 110-83

Everything went according to plan in Rzeszow where fourth ranked Resovia (11-4) outleveled 10th ranked Korona (6-9) 110-83 on Thursday. Resovia dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Korona's 38. They outrebounded Korona 45-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Resovia looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Korona's players. It was a great evening for power forward Wojciech Watroba (210-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Adrian Warszawski (201-1996) helped adding 23 points and 5 rebounds. Five Resovia players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Tymon Szymanski (200-2001) with 22 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Szymon Sobiech (198-2002) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Resovia. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Korona keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Resovia will meet UR Krakow (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Korona's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Krakow Cracovia.
