Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kataja (10-6) against sixth ranked Vilpas (9-7) on Friday night. Visiting Kataja was defeated by Vilpas in a tough game in Salo 81-88. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kataja. The hosts were ahead by 12 points but lost the second period ending it with a 7-point deficit before their 28-14 run, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward KeyShawn Feazell (206-1998, college: Creighton) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Perttu Blomgren (195-2001) who added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Vilpas players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Lamonte Turner (188-1997, college: Tennessee) responded with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American-Nigerian forward Amaze Egekeze (203-1995, college: Belmont) scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Vilpas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kobrat. Kataja at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Vilpas will play against Honka (#11) in Espoo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kataja will play on the road against the league's second-placed Seagulls (#2) in Helsinki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
