Regular Season Round 15: Borisfen - Gomel 105-63

There was no surprise in Mogilev where bottom-ranked Gomel (0-16) was crushed by first ranked Borisfen (14-2) 105-63 on Saturday. Borisfen outrebounded Gomel 44-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Gomel's players. It was a great evening for the former international guard Viachaslau Korzh (196-1986) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American forward Malik Porter (196, college: Idaho St.) helped adding 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Borisfen players scored in double figures. Borisfen's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Yegor Dudov (192-1998) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Viktor Golotsukov (-1999) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Borisfen maintains first place with 14-2 record. Loser Gomel still closes the standings with 16 games lost. Borisfen will meet Impuls BGUIR (#4) in the next round. Gomel will play against Tsmoki II and hopes to get finally their first victory.
