Very predictable result when third ranked Zagreb (9-2) smashed at home 8th ranked Pozega (4-7) 90-43 on Saturday. Zagreb dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pozega's 22. Zagreb forced 33 Pozega turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Marta Ostojic (185-2003, college: Ole Miss) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. The former international forward Lea Miletic (184-1995) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Five Zagreb players scored in double figures. Center Kristina Maricevic (188-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Jelena Ivezic (183-1984) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zagreb moved-up to second place, which they share with Medvescak and Tresnjevka. Loser Pozega keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Pula. Zagreb's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Zagreb Tresnjevka.
