Regular Season Round 15: Alcobendas - Ardoi 78-82

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Alcobendas (8-7) lost at home to eighth ranked Ardoi (8-7) 82-78. It was a great evening for guard Anna Prim (168-2003, college: Colorado St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Argentinian center Diana Cabrera (186-1993) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was power forward Clara Rodriguez (184-1996) with 16 points and guard Lucia Togores (176-1996) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Alcobendas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ardoi moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Alcobendas. Ardoi will play against Picken Claret (#12) in Valencia in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Alcobendas will play at home against the league's leader Ferrol (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
