Regular Season Round 9: Aulnoye - Chartres 73-67

There was an upset when 4th placed Chartres (5-4) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Aulnoye (4-5) 73-67 on Saturday. Aulnoye looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (188-1986) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Helene Jakovljevic (176-2000) chipped in 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Nigerian forward Nicole Enabosi (183-1997, college: Delaware) who recorded 16 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Marine Debaut (168-1994) added 18 points respectively. Aulnoye moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Champagne and SIG. Loser Chartres dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with La Tronche. Aulnoye will meet bottom-ranked CFBB (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Chartres will play against Monaco (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
