There was an upset in Amorebieta-Echano where 4th placed Zornotza (7-4) was defeated by twelfth ranked Real Canoe (4-7) 79-71 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Marco Echeverria (190-2002) who scored 8 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Jorge Parra (192-1998) chipped in 16 points. Four Real Canoe players scored in double figures. Guard Alberto Cabrera (187-1998) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Cameroonian center Bertrand Awana (206-1997, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts.
