Everything could happen in Valencia at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Lima-Horta and 10th ranked Picken Claret had identical 5-9 record. But Picken Claret was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Barcelona 60-52. Lima-Horta forced 27 Picken Claret turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Eliana Soriano (175-1989) who led her team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. Center Paula Tutusaus (190-1990) helped adding 11 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Paula Garcia (175-1999) with 18 points and forward Marta Rabassa (178-1994) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lima-Horta (6-9) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Real Canoe. Picken Claret lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the twelfth position with ten games lost. They share it with Adareva. Lima-Horta will play against higher ranked Joventut (#4) in Badalona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Picken Claret will play at home against Ardoi (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
