Top ranked Gence (8-2) recorded its second loss in Baku on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Xirdalan (7-3) 85-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Gence. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Xirdalan dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Gence's 30 and made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Devin Pullum (188, college: Rogers St.) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. The other American import power forward Andrew Corum (201-1996, college: Virginia St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Collin Turner (185-1995, college: Angelo St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Amil Hamzayev (204-1990, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively.
