Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Tampereen Pyrinto and 6th ranked Vimpelin Veto had identical 6-7 record. This time Tampereen Pyrinto used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Vimpeli 91-56 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Tampereen Pyrinto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. New Zealand guard Tera Reed (183-1998, college: USC) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American guard Reili Richardson (180-1998, college: Arizona St.) supported her with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Tampereen Pyrinto players scored in double figures. Tampereen Pyrinto's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by American power forward Kristina King (190-1995, college: WVU) did not help to save the game for Vimpelin Veto. Guard Anni Kujala (165-1993) added 11 points for the guests. Tampereen Pyrinto maintains fifth position with 7-7 record, which they share with FoA. Loser Vimpelin Veto dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Tampereen Pyrinto will meet at home Marsky Helsinki (#9) in the next round. Vimpelin Veto will play against Tapiolan Honka and hope to secure a win.
