American-Montenegrin center Markeisha Gatling (196-1992, college: NC State) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The former international forward Vega Gimeno (185-1991, college: RMU) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Zaragoza's coach Carlos Cantero used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Croatian forward Andrijana Cvitkovic (190-1994, college: Dayton) answered with 13 points and the former international point guard Sandra Ygueravide (172-1984) added 11 points in the effort for Gernika. Four Gernika players scored in double figures. Zaragoza (8-4) moved-up to third place, which they share with Avenida. Gernika at the other side dropped to the sixth position with five games lost.
