Regular Season Round 11: Scafati - Tortona 72-91

Very expected game when 11th ranked Scafati (4-7) was rolled over at home by third ranked Tortona (8-3) 91-72 on Sunday. Tortona made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American swingman JP Macura (196-1995, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). His fellow American import point guard Semaj Christon (190-1992, college: Xavier) helped adding 15 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all six shots). Tortona's coach Marco Ramondino used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American-Polish guard David Logan (185-1982, college: Indianapolis) responded with 18 points and 5 assists and point guard Riccardo Rossato (190-1996, agency: Players Group) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Scafati players scored in double figures. Tortona maintains third place with 8-3 record having just two points less than leader Virtus BO. Newly promoted Scafati keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Napoli. Tortona will meet at home Treviso (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Scafati will play against Brindisi (#8) and hope to secure a win.
