EBLK top team - Gorzow Wlkp. (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Poznan (4-6) 89-66. Gorzow Wlkp. players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for Turkish center Tilbe Senyurek (190-1995) who led her team to a victory scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American guard Alecia Sutton (173-1998, college: Texas) responded with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Maya Dodson (191-1999, college: Notre Dame) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorzow Wlkp. have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Poznan at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Wroclaw. Gorzow Wlkp. will play against Wroclaw (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Poznan will play against Katarzynki in Torun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
