Not a big story in a game in Krakow where 10th ranked Korona (6-9) was outplayed by leader Mickiewicz (15-0) 122-65 on Sunday. Mickiewicz dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Korona's 30. They outrebounded Korona 56-28 including a 39-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mickiewicz looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Korona's players. It was a great evening for Lukasz Lewinski (186-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Tomasz Krzyminski (201-2001) helped adding 22 points and 7 rebounds. Five Mickiewicz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Tymon Szymanski (200-2001) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard Mateusz Orlowski (187-2006) scored 17 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Mickiewicz. They maintain first place with 15-0 record, which they share with Miedzychod. Loser Korona keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Mickiewicz will meet Tarn.Gory (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Korona's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Krakow Cracovia.
