Very predictable result when second ranked Girona (9-2) won against 13th ranked IDK Eustotren (4-8) in San Sebastian 68-53 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Rebekah Gardner (185-1990, college: UCLA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Lithuanian center Giedre Labuckiene (192-1990) accounted for 10 points for the winning side. Swingman Maria Espana (180-1992) came up with 17 points and American forward Joy Adams (180-1993, college: Iona) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for IDK Eustotren in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Girona have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. IDK Eustotren lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Jairis.
