Regular Season Round 6: Siauliai - RSU 59-92

Latvian RSU has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Siauliai, where they outplayed Lithuanian Siauliai (2-2) 92-59 on Sunday. RSU forced 19 Siauliai turnovers and outrebounded them 46-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Siauliai's players. The best player for the winners was Katrina Ozola (188-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Evelina Otto (187-2006) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Four RSU players scored in double figures. RSU's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian forward Ruta Stipra (188-1994) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Morgan Lenahan (180-1997, college: Midwestern St.) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. RSU maintains fifth position with 1-4 record. Loser Siauliai still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with TTT Riga and SBS Ostrava.
