Regular Season Round 15: Tsmoki II - Rubon 69-67

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Premier League took place in Minsk. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Rubon (10-6) to fifth ranked Tsmoki II (5-9) 69-67 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Rubon. Tsmoki II forced 19 Rubon turnovers. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Kiryl Vaskautsou (196-2003) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Ivan Terehov (199-2003) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Tsmoki II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Russian forward Marsel Ovsepyan (202-1990) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Maksim Shustov (188-1986) added 15 points and 6 assists respectively. Rubon's coach Ruslan Baidakov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tsmoki II maintains fifth place with 5-9 record. Rubon at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. Tsmoki II are looking forward to face Gomel (#6) on the road in the next round. Rubon will play against the league's second-placed Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
