Very expected game when 5th ranked Bosnian Lavovi (1-7) was rolled over on the road by first ranked Slovenian Celje (7-1) 108-47 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Celje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Lavovi's 28. Celje forced 29 Lavovi turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lavovi's players. Point guard Blaza Ceh (181-2003) scored 7 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American Sara Loomis (188-1997, college: Ashland) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Celje players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian guard Milica Djokic (178-2005) responded with 11 points and 5 assists and Montenegrin point guard Iva Karisik (175-2001) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Celje have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Slovenian champion maintains first position with 7-1 record, which they share with Vojvodina 021. Loser Lavovi dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Niksic.
