Ninth-ranked Huesca (4-8) made lots of trouble for first ranked Menorca (10-2). The visitors from Mahon managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78. However their fans expected much easier game. It was a good game for French Edwin Jackson (190-1989, agency: BeoBasket) who saved his team from a defeat with 27 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Chilean guard Ignacio Arroyo-Varela (190-2000) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Forward Jorge Lafuente (197-1991) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 assists and 4 steals and Dutch center Lucas NGuessan (213-1997, college: ETSU) added 16 points in the effort for Huesca. Five Huesca players scored in double figures. Menorca have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record. Huesca at the other side keeps the ninth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 6 other teams. Menorca will play against league's second-placed Gran Canaria 2 in Las Palmas in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Huesca will play on the road against Alginet (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
