EBLK top team - Gorzow Wlkp. (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Thursday. This time they beat eighth ranked Wroclaw (4-7) 96-80. Gorzow Wlkp. made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a quality performance of American point guard Lindsay Allen (173-1995, college: Notre Dame) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 6 assists (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and Australian forward Alanna Smith (193-1996, college: Stanford) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Stephanie Jones (188-1998, college: Maryland) with 26 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Karolina Stefanczyk (182-1999) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Gorzow Wlkp. and four Wroclaw players scored in double figures. Gorzow Wlkp. have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-0 record. Wroclaw at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Gorzow Wlkp. are looking forward to face Lublin (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wroclaw will play against Katarzynki (#9) in Torun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
