The game in Rishon Le-Zion was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers M.Haifa (6-4) played at the court of fifth ranked H.Rishon LZ (5-4). H.Rishon LZ did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 87-68 on Monday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of M.Haifa. American forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and point guard Hila Karsh (173-2004) supported her with 22 points (on 8-of-4 shooting from the field). Four H.Rishon LZ players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by American-Nigerian forward Amy Okonkwo (188-1996, college: TCU) did not help to save the game for M.Haifa. International Lev Tal (179-1997) added 18 points for lost side. H.Rishon LZ have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 5-4 record. M.Haifa at the other side keeps the fourth place with four games lost. H.Rishon LZ will meet at home bottom-ranked ASA Jerusalem (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. M.Haifa will play against E.Holon (#7) and hope to secure a win.
