There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Scafati (5-7) won against on the road higher ranked Brindisi (5-7) 75-71 on Monday. The winners were led by American-Polish guard David Logan (185-1982, college: Indianapolis) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 assists and American point guard Julyan Stone (198-1988, college: UTEP) supported him with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Scafati players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Ky Bowman (185-1998, college: Boston Coll.) did not help to save the game for Brindisi. His fellow American import power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Scafati moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Sassari and Brindisi. Scafati will meet at home Napoli (#15) in the next round where they are favorite. Brindisi will play against Trento (#4) and hope to secure a win.
