Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked La Roda (6-7) edged at home 14th ranked Baskonia B (2-11) 84-83 on Wednesday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. La Roda forced 19 Baskonia B turnovers. Guard Alberto Moreno (190-1996, college: A&M-Commerce) nailed 15 points and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side and American center Amadi Ikpeze (208, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: GoEmpire Group) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Venezuelan forward Franger Pirela (187-2002) came up with 16 points and Australian power forward Damian Prgomet (208-1996, college: SW Baptist) added 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Baskonia B in the defeat. Five La Roda and four Baskonia B players scored in double figures. Baskonia B's coach Fabian Tellez tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. La Roda moved-up to seventh place. Newly promoted Baskonia B keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. La Roda will meet at home Tormes (#8) in the next round. Baskonia B will play against Melilla (#11) and hope to secure a win.
