Seagulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Seagulls players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. American guard Lamonte Turner (188-1997, college: Tennessee) came up with 22 points and 9 assists and American-Nigerian forward Amaze Egekeze (203-1995, college: Belmont) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Kataja in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Seagulls have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-5 record having just one point less than leader Kauhajoki. Kataja at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. They share it with Vilpas. Seagulls will play against Honka (#11) in Espoo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kataja will play at home against Lahti (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
