Regular Season Round 15: Prievidza - Handlova 79-70

Bottom-ranked Prievidza managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive losses on Wednesday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked Handlova 79-70. Prievidza forced 22 Handlova turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Kellon Taylor (198-1998, college: McNeese St., agency: Players Group) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Kevin Anderson (196-1998, college: Delaware) accounted for 19 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Prievidza players scored in double figures. Point guard Branislav Pipiska (183-1995) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds and American swingman Elizjah Scott (198-1999, college: LMU) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Handlova in the defeat. Prievidza (5-10) moved-up to seventh place. Handlova at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. Prievidza will meet higher ranked Lucenec (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Handlova will play against Iskra Svit and hope to secure a win.
