The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Koping Stars' (7-11) home victory over 10th ranked Kalmar (3-15) 89-76. Koping Stars shot the lights out from three nailing 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American forward Travis McConico (198-1997, college: Charleston So.) scored 14 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard KeShawn Curry (195-1998, college: VCU) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. Koping Stars will play against higher ranked Sodertalje (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kalmar will play against the league's leader Boras having rather not much hope for a victory.
