Regular Season Round 14: San Martino - Schio 72-73

Seventh-ranked San Martino (7-7) made lots of trouble for top-ranked Schio (14-0) in San Martino di L on Sunday. The visitors from Schio managed to secure only one-point victory 73-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Schio made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international Jasmine Keys (192-1997) who scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Belgian Kim Mestdagh (180-1990, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists. Five Schio players scored in double figures. Point guard Ilaria Milazzo (173-1994) produced 31 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Delicia Washington (178-1997, college: Clemson) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Schio have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-0 record. San Martino at the other side dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. Schio are looking forward to face San Giovanni (#5) in Sesto San Giovanni in the next round. San Martino will play at home against the league's second-placed Bologna and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
