Very predictable result in Rishon Le-Zion where fifth ranked H.Rishon LZ (6-4) smashed bottom-ranked ASA Jerusalem (1-10) 94-62 on Monday. They outrebounded ASA Jerusalem 51-25 including a 17-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. H.Rishon LZ looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Kristen Simon (188-1995, college: USC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Five H.Rishon LZ players scored in double figures. Guard Taylor Wurtz (183-1990, college: Wisconsin) produced 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and center Danielle Adams (185-1989, college: Texas A&M) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. ASA Jerusalem's coach Ohad Gal gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for H.Rishon LZ. They moved-up to fourth place. ASA Jerusalem lost their tenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. H.Rishon LZ will meet at home E.Holon (#7) in the next round.
