There was an upset when 4th placed Trento (7-6) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Brindisi (6-7) 78-68 on Monday. American forward Jason Burnell (201-1997, college: JSU) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Cameroonian power forward Jordan Bayehe (203-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Darion Atkins (203-1992, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and Latvian Andrejs Grazulis (202-1993) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Five Brindisi and four Trento players scored in double figures. Trento's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brindisi moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Scafati. Loser Trento keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Brindisi will meet at home higher ranked Varese (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
