There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Olsztyn (8-5) was defeated at home by eighth ranked AZS UW (7-5) 77-59 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was forward Izabela Zdrodowska (185-1998) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. Zuzanna Wrzesien (172-1996) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Marta Sztaberska (174-2003) produced 15 points and 4 assists and swingman Patrycja Daliga (170-1993) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Olsztyn players scored in double figures. Olsztyn's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. AZS UW have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with AZS UG. Loser Olsztyn dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with GTK Gdynia. AZS UW will meet at home higher ranked Pol.Gdansk (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
