There was no surprise when 13th ranked RO SAzzurra (1-12) was defeated on the road by third ranked Treviglio (10-3) 77-69 on Wednesday. Treviglio made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Jason Clark (189-1990, college: Georgetown) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 5 assists. Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-1990, college: DePaul) helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American guard Duane Wilson (190-1994, college: Texas A&M) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Samuel Givens (197-1989, college: Drexel) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Treviglio. They maintain third place with 10-3 record having four points less than leader Forli. Loser RO SAzzurra keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. Treviglio will meet Latina (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. RO SAzzurra will have a break next round.
