Very significant was Asker's (#3, 9-4) victory against second-ranked Baerum (8-3) 78-53. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Baerum. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Asker dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Baerum's 32. They outrebounded Baerum 53-31 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Asker looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Baerum's players. It was a great evening for American forward Hannah Reynolds (193, college: Midwestern St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Siri Granheim (178-1994) helped adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Four Asker players scored in double figures. Asker's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Makana Stone (183, college: Whitman) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international point guard Shiba Ahmadi (166-1999) scored 6 points. Asker have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Defending champion Baerum dropped to the third position with three games lost. Asker are looking forward to face Bergen (#6) at home in the next round. Baerum will play against Bergen and is hoping to win this game.
