There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Kaysersberg (4-13) edged on the road higher ranked Lyon (8-10) 77-74 on Friday. Guard Kevin Walter (187-1988) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese center Khadim Sow (210-1999) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Bahamas forward Willis Mackey (203-1996, college: UNOH) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Romain Parmentelot (190-2004) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kaysersberg moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Lyon dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Feurs CTC. Kaysersberg will meet at home higher ranked Besancon (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
