There was no surprise when 12th ranked Trefl 2 (5-11) lost to seventh ranked Ksiezak (11-5) in Sopot 72-76 on Saturday. Ksiezak made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The winners were led by point guard Jakub Stanios (180-1994) who scored that evening 20 points and 4 assists and center Mateusz Fatz (205-1996) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Ksiezak players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by forward Filip Gurtatowski (204-2004) did not help to save the game for Trefl 2. Power forward Maciej Nagel (200-2005) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Trefl 2's coach Michael Lydkowski tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ksiezak have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Trefl 2 lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Ksiezak will meet at home higher ranked AZS UMK (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Trefl 2 will play against Zgierz (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
